Patriotic Citizen Initiatives (PCI) participated in an interactive session with the delegates from Türkiye on “Strengthening Cooperation with Countries of Origin and Fostering Cooperation with Strategic Partners to Prevent Irregular Migration through Complementarity Actions Project.” during a high level round table meeting with select civil society organizations working on the Return, Readmission, and Reintegration of Returnees in Nigeria.
The Program Officer of Patriotic Citizen Initiatives (PCI), Oluwaremilekun Samuel during the discussion elucidated the works of PCI in the area of migration development specifically awareness creation on safe migration, provision of shelter for returnees, psychosocial support, empowerment programs among others. He also disclosed that PCI recently facilitated the return and reintegration of 6 individuals and a family of 4 from Denmark and Holland Nigeria.
