Patriotic Citizen Initiatives (PCI) proudly joined government agencies, civil society organizations, labour unions, youth groups, students, media representatives, and members of the public in commemorating the 2026 World Day Against Child Labour through a public awareness rally organized by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment (FMLE).

The rally, held on Wednesday, 8 July 2026, formed part of the Ministry's nationwide advocacy efforts to raise awareness about child labour, promote children's rights, and encourage collective action toward eliminating all forms of child labour in Nigeria.

The event commenced at 9:00 a.m. from the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, Sabo, Yaba (Opposite Queens College). Participants marched through major roads, engaging members of the public with advocacy messages before concluding at the Ojuelegba Under Bridge.

Throughout the rally, participants displayed banners and placards carrying messages that emphasized every child's right to education, protection, dignity, and a childhood free from exploitation.
