PCI Drives the Expansion of SIYB Entrepreneurship Training Across Nigeria’s Higher Institutions.

17 August 2026 marks another exciting milestone in our commitment to promoting entrepreneurship, employability, and sustainable business development in Nigeria.

We are delighted to announce the growing adoption of the Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) Management Training by Colleges of Education and Universities across Nigeria.

Through the collaboration and capacity-building efforts of Patriotic Citizen Initiatives (PCI) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) SIYB Programme, the training is gaining recognition within higher education institutions as a practical tool for equipping academics, students, aspiring entrepreneurs, and business owners with relevant enterprise development and management skills.

Among the latest professionals connected to this initiative are the Director of Career Development, Federal College of Education, Asaba; the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Delta State University, Abraka; and other academic staff.

This development demonstrates that SIYB is moving with the times and responding to present-day realities. As the world of work continues to evolve, universities and colleges must increasingly equip their students and staff with practical skills that go beyond the classroom - skills that foster entrepreneurship, innovation, employability, productivity, and sustainable livelihoods.
